Monthly meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month, starting at 7:00 pm, generally at the Elkton Chamber of Commerce Office. All members are encouraged to attend.
The Elkton Area Chamber of Commerce would like to thank you and your family for your support in the past year. Whether you supported us through membership, sponsored one of our fine events, attended one of our festivals, or simply helped spread the word about what our town has to offer, you have helped to make Elkton and the surrounding community a better place to live, work, and have fun!
Each year our organization works hard at bringing several key events to the Elkton area. The annual Spring Scavenger Hunt and AutumnFest are certainly growing events. 2010 marked the 10th annual Born To Be Wild motorcycle weekend. The year is wrapped up with a food drive for the local food pantry and a scavenger hunt for the older children in the community on Christmas weekend. These events are planned as an effort to attract consumers and possible future residents to the area.
The Elkton Area Chamber of Commerce depends on members to make each of these events happen. Planning events of this magnitude takes many hands, much thought, and financial backing. By joining our organization, you will certainly be making a large contribution to the success of Elkton!
Membership has few requirements. Dues are only $100 for business members and $50 for individuals. Members are encouraged, but not required, to attend our monthly meetings. Volunteering your time is appreciated, but we understand that time is a valuable commodity, and that your busy life may not allow for many more activities.
The benefits of belonging to the Elkton Area Chamber of Commerce are much more! You will find yourself among other business leaders, and have the ability to discuss issues surrounding the economic climate of our area. You will also be able to look back on each successful event, knowing that you were part of the team that made it possible. Chamber of commerce members are also eligible for discounts on Blue Cross/Blue Shield Medical insurance (Contact Randy @ Haley & Associates for more details.) Your name will appear on the member directory on the Chamber website and member businesses receive referrals when website visitors seek information on local lodging, attractions, and entertainment.
